Maybe getting SCWD . . . experiences?
I want to go larger on my return pump (Danner Mag12) and will split the return and I was thinking of going with a SCWD. I looked into them over a year ago and the reviews were mixed.
What experience have other had? |

Had a few of them and never had any luck. They killed the flow, would lock up after a few months.

double check, but i'm not sure you can push a mag 12 or larger through a SCWD. But I could be mistaken.
I had one for years. But eventually it clogged up, I bought another and soaked the original in vinegar over night and it re-opened. But that was just my experience. |

I am running the SCWD with a mag12. The only problems I have had is it will reduce the flow, and the gear inside gets clogged stopping the changing flow. Requires frequent cleaning to work properly.

I've had one on my tank for about 4 years. Not bad, but they really do cut down the flow from the pump.
