Does tropic marin bio-calcium maintain ALK?
Does anyone use biocalicum by tropic marin? Does this product maintain Alk as well as ca? I have a sps dom system and have been using b-ionic but am thinking about switching to TM BC because it contains 70 trace elements and it seems to have other benefits.
thanks |

Yes. I use it on my tank. I also like their bio-mag as well.

usually don't need the mag if you keep consistent water changes.

I've noticed more of a spike in alk for a day or so, then a fall back - not so much for maintaining alk at a set level.

I can't seem to keep my Ca. and Alk. correct with tropic marin so I am starting a 2 part dose with pump.

I use tropic marine pro and dose alk, mag, and cal with these pumps from BRS.
My parameters are rock solid. I use an apex to control the pumps. they dose every hour throughout the day.
