One controller, multiple tanks?
I've been searching around on this for a couple of days but haven't found a huge amount of info.
Is anyone using a single controller (I'm thinking AC Apex but any example is good) to run multiple tanks? I figure someone must be doing it. Otherwise advertising claims like, "Cable lengths over 200 feet," "Up to 240 modules, hundreds of probes," and "up to 1920 switched outlets," are more misleading than usual. But I can't find anyone talking about doing so. I'm thinking along the lines of a display tank and frag tank, or maybe different types of display tank. There is the eggs/basket equation but beyond that what's the prevailing groupthink? |

I don't like doing it in case there is a problem with the controller.

The "problem with controller" issue is what I was referring to with eggs/basket. OTOH... Is a person with, arbitrarily, a single 360G display tank risking less than someone with thirty 10g tanks and a 60g? I bet I could make arguments in either direction.
Unbreakable... how is your setup set up? |
