RO + DI Cartridges

Hi all. I was looking to know how long each cartridge in an RO unit lasts. I have A pinnacle RO Unit 2 stage, with a DI Unit added to it. The one filter, the sediment one I think? Changes color more frequently, than the carbon filter. I actually haven't seen the carbon filter change color before, most of the times I changed it i recall it only being slightly off white. So is there an estimation of how long each lasts depending on water quality? I look online, but I find different answers.

Also, i haven't changed my DI units cartridge yet, since it is fairly young, but I can't tell when it needs to be changed. I assume it has to be, since its been a while, but I don't want to through out something that isn't used up yet. Can anyone fill me in? Thanks

Oh yea, and I lost an o ring for the one RO unit, so when i use it it leaks and only runs a little over the operating range. Can i just pick one up at a home depot? One that has the same size and width?
