Please review my sump design

I am designing a sump for my new setup. My tank is an 80 gallon starphire and my sump is a 40 gallon breeder. The skimmer I am going to stick with is a Deltec AP851. Can I get you guys to take a look at my sump layout below and tell me what you think?

A few questions:

1. Anyone have any idea on the recommened water level heigh for the Deltec AP851? I cant find this out online and I need to know so that I can make the first baffle accordingly.

2. The water will be gravity feed into the skimmer from the overflow. Should I put my "T" before the skimmer with a ball valve going to the refugium, or "T" the output of the skimmer instead so that 100% of the water going into the sump will be skimmed through the skimmer. If this is possible, I would again put a ball valve on the line going to the refugium.

Any other tips/suggestions?

nevermind, I think I've decided to run the skimmer externally to make more room in the sump and increase the size of the refugium. Due to the larger size, all water will just go through the refugium. Running the skimmer out of the sump will also make it easier to service, should I need to remove it for cleaning.
