Maze brain deteriorating and chalice shrinking back

I ordered a maze brain coral and some chalices. The brain seems to be coming off the skeleton and slowly creeping further, and the chalice seems to have pulled back as well. Can anyone help? sal. 1.025, nitrates are 20. My temps been jumping around from 76 to 80 this past week, although everything else seems to be doing fine. It hasn't been jump from those temps each day, thats just the range.

Nitrates need to come down, I would do a water change
What is your dkh or alk at?
The temp also is a bad thing, that needs to stay with minimal changes >1 temp throughout the day.
