Adding livesand to livesand
So my live sandbed get siphoned up little by little when I try to clean the sand bed and I'm assuming that sooner or later I will have to add live sand. I heard I have to be cautious when I do that...what is the process in which i should follow?

The tough thing is adding it and trying to keep the dust storm from becoming too much. it's tough to have no storm but if you add it slowly with cups close to the bottom of the tank it will minimize the storm.
How deep is your sand bed?

I would not add live sand, just dead sand. I wash it in a 5 gallon bucket until the water runs clear, then turn off the pumps and add it using one of those long funnels sold for oil changes. Release the sand close to the bottom of the tank. I would avoid "live sand" due to concern over unwanted hitchhikers and/or nitrates from dead organisms in the "live sand".
