VHO actinic question.

I have a vho retro kit under my canopy for two bulbs. So far I have only one buln, a URI super actinic.

For my second bulb should I get another super actnic, or a 454 nm bulb?

Which would give the best color combo.

I would run a 454 / SuperActinic combo . I have a 4 bulb VHO light I run like that and the colors just popppppppppp . You'll love it .

you can try actinics alone or actinics with 454 or actinics and white. There will always be something different that will change your coral colors when trying out different things. It always depends on bulbs, lighting, how powerful the light is and placement of the corals beside the feeding that will affect the colors of your corals. In any case they will all come out with good colors but if you want all diff colors to pop out mix and match your lighting.

I run an all VHO 4 bulb combination, click on my username to see pics. This set up is front to back actinic white, 03, 454 and actinic white. As Chupakabra says you will love the 03 / 454 combination.
