open brain coral

I've got your typical open brain coral, had it for about 6 months now and it's been doing fine, even growing. The last few days it's been mostly "closed" if you could call it that - it's not all puffed out.

Water conditions are great, I don't think its getting stung but its possible I can't tell as everything is growing so well and I know some of the stingers get pretty long at night.

SO, two questions

1 - what reasons would my brain not open (not my head one but my tank one)?

2 - what corals or type of corals should not be near it?

Thanks

Brad

hey !!!

sorry to answer your question with a question
but
anything that stings can harm it.
what do you have near the brain coral ?

in the past i had a galaxy coral and it had stigners that would reach over 12"
so i have to place in a way that water flow orevented it from harming other corals..

steff
