incandescent fuge lighting

A while back there was a thread that had a link on inexpensive incandescent light bulbs that could be used in a shop light that were the right spectrum for macro algae. I'd appreciate that link if anyone knows it or what bulbs to buy at HD or Lowes. My plants are going to die b/f my husband to get my hood retroed - not complaining about my husband - he's working hard in the yard & veg. garden. Thanks

I remember reading info on a light for fuges. I think it was at melevsreef. Do a search in google for melevsreef. There's some good info there. I'm currenty looking for lighting for my fuge. I remember reading that a good growing light spectrum was about 6500. Most light bulb packaging has the light spectrum for the bulb.
Hope this helps

Got to walmart or target and look for the CFL bulbs that say "Daylight" Mkae sure you see the 6500K rating on the packaging or bulb. I have been using them on my fuge and smaller tanks for some time and they get the job done.
