Unhappy Display Blank when updating to 4.03

Hi Everybody,
I just tried to load the newest firmware to the Apex (4.03_4E10). It all seemed to go well until the Display module was stuck in blank meanwhile updating the display module.
The controller is running perfect with no problem of any kind, just the “Display is Blank”. I can get access via web and check the firmware is right …
I Tried to update the Display module via web without success, still blank.

According to Alan Guide (BTW Aquamatic I loved your unofficial instruction book. Very helpfull) the problem could be two possible ways, corrupt firmware or the controller is losing track of the display on the AquaBus.

I reloaded the firmware but the problem still persists, So I think the problem could be the controller is losing track of the display module, but HOW to solve them ?

Please, I need your help strongly.

Unbreakable,

Thanks for reply, as far as I now there are some telnet commands that allow you to fix the problem, but I don´t know wich ones.

I already send a email to Curt, thanks

I had the same thing happen to me after uploading to the latest beta.. i had unplugged my display and plugged it back in and the screen went black and wouldnt come on

i had to disconnect the base from the eb8 and then plug it into the computer, when the software says its going into bootloader mode i then plugged the eb8 to the base module and let the firmware upload

as soon as it did the display turned on right away

When you start the display module update (it'll show "update will begin in 10 seconds"), unplug the display then plug it back in. It should take the update after the cycle.

Try updating both display's. The one that finally accepts the update is the right one. You can then delete the other.

Ricde,

You are the man !!! I did exactly what you said and the Display come to the life again ... perfect job !!!
Thanks, thank you very much.

unbreakable,

I re-loaded the last firmware as you said but it do not worked, however thank to you I am with the last update again, thanks for take care of my problem ...

Now,

I have one minor concern about this update, I notice that even when nothing is plugged in the ampdraw stays around 1.4 - 1.5 amps in both EB8. I already update every EB8 module but this phantom current still persists, how you guys solve this issue ?

Thanks, mine did the same thing and I had to call neptune for the fix. Unfortunately, I lost my display module all together and will have to call Mon. to get it back.

Glad it worked out for you
