Tanks

Hello,

I'm new to the hobby. Joined Reef Central last week. Have been reading about reefkeeping a great deal since December 2009. Planning to set-up new 180 gallon reef tank.

Would you please recommend tank suppliers?

Would you recommend glass or acrylic?

I believe glass or acrylic is to your personal opinion since they come available in both and don't need to be custom made.

All Glass Aquariums or Aqueon makes a good tank for sure.

aqueon (which replaced aga) makes quality tanks, available most anywhere. perfecto/marineland is another top competitor.

If you have kids you my want to go with glass, little harder to scratch. Everyone that I know that has acrylic has scratches that drives them crazy. Just my .02

hey glass can be very heavy, ive been a glass owner never had acrylic before.

you can weigh your benefits, acrylic is more clearer if not scratched.

I think starfire glass is just as clear as acrylic.
