Dipping new corals
Should I use Lugols to dip new frags before adding to tank. I do not have a QT. Thanks.

Depends on the coral. I and a number of SPS guys are big fans of Revive. Seems to work really well.

LFS does not carry Revive. They do have Coral RX. New on the market, www. CoralRx.com. Check them out and let me know what you think. Thanks.

I have had excellent results with Coral Rx for about a year now .
Never had a bad reaction from a coral either. |

I'm not saying anything good or bad about coral RX but if you're looking for a product reccomendation for anything just have this thread open long enough.
There are reefers that swear by most every product out from purple up to the super kalk powders. Some are snake oils, some aren't. IME iodine solutions work pretty well but can be hard on the corals. Revive is much easier on the corals and it seems like it kills a very broad spectrum of pests.
