New Tank
Im looking to buy a 55g tank from someone near my house. I know you cant use a tank that has housed reptiles. This tank was a turtle tank. Does that classify as a reptile tank?

A turtle is indeed a reptile. You might as well save your money a get a better tank anyway. A 55 ain't real wide and is harder to aquascape.

My understanding is you are fine using a tank that has housed reptiles as long as you make sure it is an aquarium which can hold the water + flow not a critter cage which would not be strong enough to do so.
