Can i remove some live rock????
Ive only been doing this for 6 months. I was always told i need 1 pound of rock per gallon. I have 70 pounds in a rsm 250 (65 gallon)and it looks like alot. I see alot of pics of tanks that have a lot less and i think it has a cleaner look to it. Any help would b great.

I dislike the look of a loaded tank aswell, most people recommend one pound per gallon, but i only have about 40 pounds in my 55g and about the same in my 75g and it is definately enough IMO, also depends on the structure of your rock also, if you have nice porous rock your going to need less than if they were solid clumps.

If you have a sump, you can always throw a few pounds in the sump and still get the filtration and not have as much in the display.

if you do regular waterchanges then you can run with less rock. juct continue to check you water and if it goes out of wack do a extra water change.
