Moving established aquarium with xenia attached to the back
Ok I'm not super fond of xenia, but I have a nice little crop that grows on the back of my aquarium I have become attached to.
I'd like to keep it growing where it is. My options during my move are to: 1. Drain the tank and leave it 2. Scrape it off and transfer it separately I am moving about 15 minutes away, would that work for option 1? Does anyone know how long xenia can survive out of water? |

In January I moved my tank 160 miles and it was dry for 26 hours. I have a patch of xenia on the glass about 3 inches from the top rim & it bounced right back once the tank was filled again. A 15 minute trip will be no problem.
