Zoa propagation

How do you promote propagation of Zoas or button polyps? They're the same thing right?

Cut a polyp off with a razor blade and glue it onto a frag plug or piece of rubble using superglue gel.

Try to get as low to the rock as possible and I usually try to get a few of them connected in one cut so that they have a better chance at survival.

I have a frag on a small rock and would like it to propagate to a larger rock. Does it just take time?

I have never tried this but I know people who take them out of the tank and put them in a smaller container with phyto and tank water to target feed periodically. Seems like it would but I haven't tried so maybe someone else will comment who uses this method.

Attention: Newbie questions follow...
What kind of superglue do you use?
any "superglue" is ok to use?
And do you cut them underwater, or outside?
Also do you glue outside or inside water?

Superglue gel loctlite or crazy glue are good
I cut underwater
glue them outside of water, you want to dry the rock or plug as best as you can, then apply the glue, stick coral to glue, dip underwater, and place where ever.

Make sure to wear gloves, and eye protection when doing this, and wash your hands really well when you are done!

I just buy a small frag and then place it in my "rubble field of small pieces of LR. As it spreads (as it surely will), there ya go - new frags! No glue, no cutting, no muss, no fuss.

Yes target feeding speeds up the reproduction cycle. I use Coral frenzy on all my corals and have never looked back nor would I use anything else. I swear that stiff is powder crack for corals
