I had upgraded bulbs, but I could grow sps anywhere in my 40 gallon top to bottom with that light. I now have it hanging over a 75 gallon, but it's only been a couple days so I can't say much for growth yet. I had trouble finding spots for lower light corals and I can already see some of my lps are happier in the shade.

I have a 6 bulb current fixture over a 90 gallon(taller than a 75) and it's done great with all kinds of acros, monti caps, encrusting montis, etc.
