Emerald crab eating birdnest?
OK, I have never heard of this but I went on deployment for a week and came back and my main ORA fuzzy birdnest was half dead. Looking closely I see an emerald crab in its branches and I am wondering if it could be the culprit. I am tempted to pull it out and see.

Emerald crabs are known for aggression towards fish and are also known for eating corals and other inverts. I would suspect that he is the culprit. I would get him out of there as soon as possible, trade him in for something at your lfs.

Weird, ten years and this is the first one I have ever had do this. Oh well the others are well behaved at least. I threw him in my grassbed tank, he can cause little trouble there. One emerald cannot out eat a field of macro.
