29g biocube lighting help
Hey guys. I need your guys opinions about lighting.
The tank has been running for a month now and want to upgrade the lights. We don't want to have to get a full new light fixture, so we prefer to keep the stock hood. What we are wondering is what light bulb can we buy to replace the stock Coralife 36 Watt 10,000K Power Compact Lamp. Anyone know a site or a specific light bulb? Thank you for looking at this thread and any help would be awesome! |

if you're just looking for a new lightbulb, there are a lot of places you can buy bulbs from. one site is nanotuners.com.
if you're looking for more power, an option you have is that you can add on an extra bulb or redo your existing setup to have metal halides or LEDs while still keeping your stock hood. they also have those mods at nanotuners.com or nanocustoms.com |

I took apart a Current fixture I had laying around that had 2-40 watt PC bulbs and a cool white nocternal led. So I have my stock lights and these for a total of 152watts of power compact lighting in my stock fixture. I have 24 Cree LEDs on the way though |
