Meanwell driver question - current limiting

A wise man in the forums posted: "That said, the 60w meanwell drivers are especially "dangerous" because their current range extends beyond what most of these LEDs can handle (all the way up to 1.3A) so it's easy to fry even a "correct" string."

I was reading up and read in the meanwell spec that there is a current override as stated:

"7. Output voltage can be adjusted through the SVR1 on the PCB ; limit of output constant current level can be adjusted through the SVR2 on the PCB."

Does this mean that if I set SVR2 for 700ma, that it will limit the circuit and not fry the LED's thus making it a bit safer? I think I'm going with the meanwell driver and having this protection seems like a good idea. Also, since I don't know my butt from my elbow, I could be way off base!

Thanks!

Setting SVR2 to the desired LED drive current is essentially standard operating procedure. You must do that as part of the installation process. The problems can occur if users don't set that pot, or set it incorrectly.
