Is my star snail dead?

Is my star snail dead? It was on one of my LR when I bought it, but it hasn't moved since I got it 2 weeks ago. Do they not move much? Is it dead? If so do I need to take it out?

Yep, you could also look inside to see if he's in there. I've never had that snail live very long in my tank.

That's one of my least favorite reef chores. There are few things which smell worse than a dead snail.

+1 on these comments. These things will smell horribly. If its not moving I'd be willing to bet it died. Not a snale known to have a lengthy life in the home reef aquariums.

It was on my LR when I got it 2 weeks ago. Hasn't moved yet. Guess I'll scratch and sniff tomorrow!
