ASM Skimmer vs EuroReef
I have a med load 120gal mixed reef. I currently have an RS-80 EuroReef but have an oppertunity to pickup a used ASM G2.
By specs these both look similar in performance. EuroReef, 200gal rating, pinwheel, Sedra KSP-3500A, 5" Wide body ASM-2, 200gal rating, pinwheel, Sedra 3500, 6.5" wide body. Will the difference between the two be negligable? Is this the right size for a 120G or do I need bigger? |

I've often heard with asm and euroreef skimmers that you should buy a version that's double what water volume you have. I'm going to run a G4 on my 80gln with 40gln sump. If yours is working well, I would leave it alone.

Essentially the same. The euroreef is a better skimmer.

Thanks for the replies. I will pass on the used G3. Just what I thought, but always good to have a confirmation.
