dosing kent tech-m q's??
so i got the kent tech to hopefully get rid of my bryopsis. do i just follow the instructions and add 1ml per gallon? my tank is ~70g but do i take into consideration all the rock and sand? cuz then it would be a lot less. if not then i would be adding 70ml a day?
also i just tested my mag and it's at 1000ppm, didn't now it was soo low! especially since i dose b-ionic a few times a week. any help will be greatly appreciated! wanna make sure i'm doing this right |

Here is a calculator that will tell you how much you will need to add.
http://home.comcast.net/~jdieck1/chemcalc.html most will say not to go more than 100ppm per day, but I did about 200ppm per day and it worked out fine me.

wow great link! thanks! so it's telling me i need to add ~1800ppm, is that all at once? and so if each ml is 18.4ppm, that's 100ml.
sorry the math is confusing me a little lol. |

according to my figures at that calculator, if your mg is 1000 ( I'd retest)) and you want to raise it to 1700, you would need 89.6oz of Tech M

If you follow the rule of thumb and only raise it 100 ppm per day it says to use 12.8 oz., going from 1000ppm to 1700ppm, on your 70 gallon tank.
Is that 70 gallons of water in the system or the size of the tank? You need to subtract for water displacemnet by the live rock.

Ok good that's what I needed to k ow. That's 70g with rocks and sand, I have about 60lb of rock and 40lb of sand. Should I estimate about 40g of water then? Then around 7oz a day? Thank you so much for your help. I really don't want to make a mistake and make things worse lol.

40 to 50 gallons is a good guess.
I'd add 9oz the first time and see what it changes the tank. Test before you add.
