Trim vs No trim

I have an acrylic 240 (72x24x32) sitting dry on the floor and I'm shopping for a stand. I was originally going to have it sit on a flat top stand making the full aquarium visible including bottom pane of acrylic. Then I'm thinking, it would be a pia to clean the sand that lies against the acrylic and the acrylic immediately above the sand line. So now i'm thinking a stand with a trim at least one inch above the sand line would be much better to help prevent scratches.

Agree?????

Agreed! If it was glass, I would go either way. But when you clean that sand it's going to scratch the tank and that's going to drive you nuts when you look at it.
