Anyone having issues with their SWC 120 cone?

Been talking with Jayson at swc for a week now. My water level constantly pulsates. I've tried eveything I can think of, checked the pump, tried different water levels and air intake settings but it always goes back to pulsating.

Its been running for 3 weeks now so its past the break in period. Its on a new tank that has been running the same amount of time. Could his be a result of low bioload?

Thanks for any feedback
CJ

I have not had that problem with mine man. Sorry.

Is the actual skimmer vibrating or moving a little? I notice with I push down on the top of my skimmer it starts to overflow into the cup a little.

I would think that is a result from low bioload. My I-tech did the same thing, and I was on the phone with the dealer for over a week trying to figure it out.
I started feeding more, and my skimmer started acting a lot more stable.
Good luck.

if your water level is pulsating it sounds like a pump issue. check and make sure the venturi isnt pluggeg in any way and if you have a sound restrictor on the inlet, remove it and see if that makes a difference, if nothing else works, i would request the manufacturer for new pump.

Its not necessarily a pump issue. Could be, but not for sure.
My alpha200 will pulsate like crazy when I feed Oyster feast, oyster eggs, or even PE mysis. It's got the Red Dragon pump, and within 2hrs its back fully operational with no adjustments needed. Thats why I usually just turn it off while I feed.

No vibration.

I have a pair if clowns I just added so I'll increase the feeding to see what happens.

I'll also try removing the airline from the silencer. Jayson did say if the issue persists he'llhave me send it to him for inspection. I just don't want to be without a skimmer.
