Lighting Duration Question
I know this has been asked a lot and in many different ways, but can anyone tell me how long I should be running my 2 150 mh's over my 72 gallon mixed reef tank? I'm running gfo and don't have any real algae problems, so can I run them as much as 12 hours a day?
Also, what about the actinics? How many hours a day for the 24 watt variety. Thanks! |

9 hours for metal halides 12 is too long. I don't run acintics but you could probably run them an hour before lights come on and all then for an hour after mh's go off. Dusk to dawn effect
