dinoflagellates :(

anyone have any success stories vs. these monsters? i cut my lights and completed covered the tank for 2 days. I then did a 25% wc and sucked out almost all of them from the sandbed, but they're slowly coming back. i also stopped dosing the MB7 as I've read it can fuel their growth. i blow them off the rocks with a baster, but they just come right back.

anyone had and beat these pests? i'm pretty nervous about cutting my lights for another (possibly longer) period. i'm getting very frustrated! help!

Check your PH. I have the same problem and found that my PH had dropped to 7.75. I will tag along to see if anyone has any better ideas.

Will do. I'll be doing all of my weekly testing in about an hour when the lights cut out. I test every saturday, but the sunday wc.

I've always kept my PH between 8.2 - 8.4. Can't remember the last time I tested under 8.0.

Thanks for the reply.
