dinoflagellates :(
anyone have any success stories vs. these monsters? i cut my lights and completed covered the tank for 2 days. I then did a 25% wc and sucked out almost all of them from the sandbed, but they're slowly coming back. i also stopped dosing the MB7 as I've read it can fuel their growth. i blow them off the rocks with a baster, but they just come right back.
anyone had and beat these pests? i'm pretty nervous about cutting my lights for another (possibly longer) period. i'm getting very frustrated! help! |

Check your PH. I have the same problem and found that my PH had dropped to 7.75. I will tag along to see if anyone has any better ideas.

I've always kept my PH between 8.2 - 8.4. Can't remember the last time I tested under 8.0. Thanks for the reply. |
