Who has the black and white striped mini brittle stars?

I was wondering how much they spread. How many did you start out with and have now? Where did you get them from? I am trying to find the ones the size if dimes and can not find them anywhere. I can find the white ones that hang out in the sand but i do not want those.

I have tons that live in crevases in my rock. They came in as hitch hikers. I always mean to check it at night to see if they come out and scavange them but I never get around to it.

+1 to all of the above!

I've got tonnes in a little 29g.... came in on some coral when I first set up the tank a year ago. One year later the tank's donling great. So they can't be hurting, and I suspect they probably have a lot to do with the tank's success.

IMO - count your blessings.

Zillions. Every time cyclopeeze goes into the tank my live rock grows tiny striped tentacles out of almost every hole!

They came in on rock from my original BioCube and have gone bonkers. I love it.

+1 on the zillions. I got one, yes one on a frag from my LFS. A few years later I've got zillions.

Most of the time all I see are the legs sticking out of the rock, but occasionally I'll find one out in the open. Nice addition to the cleanup crew.

I have tons of them in my tank as well. They're not as visible because of their colors.

I have lots, but I am not sure about the sand comment as mine hang out in the coarse sand (can see them through the glass) as well as rock/nook/coral. Generally don't move much, just poke legs out.
