Opinions needed for my 55g setup!
Currently I have a 55g with an aquac remora pro skimmer, 60lbs of rock, sump has bio balls which I'm about to ditch for rock rubble, and am considering switching from my current usa 48" light with 4 separate pc lighting fixtures, to getting 2 used coralife 150w MH lights which clip on the back of the aquarium and extend overtop. does anyone have any opinions on this lighting, good or I
bad? I also got a used CPR hang on back refugium with the light, pump and everythning. I only have a damsel, some zoas, a mushroom coral, 8 hermits, and 10 snails. Should i wait to get the refugium going till I have more stuff in the tank, or should I get it going now? I will be adding some chaeto to the fuge. |

i have one and a jbj viper clamp on.. the coralife is good but the cooling fans always end up making noise.. i have to grease it every few months.. the coralife unit has a better ballast then the jbj as i find all bulbs run very bright on it where the jbj is hit and miss with bulbs. you will want t5 suppliments though or you will have alot of shaddows in the lower portions of the tank.
