Question testing water?

So I've had my reef tank going for around 6 months and I've started another(not going so well thanks to dinoflagellates) but I'm curious to hear from other people who keep multiple systems. Do you check your water every week for everything, or just the most essential ones, or not check at all? It takes me like 1 and a half hours per tank to run through my tests, and I was curious if everyone else does this? Thanks for any info
