Light fixture for LED par38?
Hey fellow reefers,
Today I had to transfer all my stuff from one tank to another, because I accidentally broke the glass while trying to take the rim off one my 10 gallon mantis shrimp aquarium. (Don't use a screw driver for this!!) After changing the stuff to the new rimless tank I decided to take the top off the tank, and use a basic fluorescent light on it. This looks a lot better than before, but I still think I could improve. My question: I'm looking at this bulb for my new project - http://www.homedepot.com/Lighting-Fa...atalogId=10053 Does anyone know if there's a better bulb out there? Maybe one with a more pleasantly viewable spectrum? Im looking to mount this bulb on a stand-up light fixture. I would like to see if anyone cruising this forum knows of a fixture I could put this bulb in. Thanks!!! While I'm at it, my turbo snails seem to eat the macro algae in my tank (no corals, just different types of algae). I'm thinking of getting rid of them and replacing them with something that won't munch on my calupera (sp?) and other macro algae in my tank. Maybe a cowrie and some astreas? What do you think? |

nanocustoms.com has bulbs everyone is using right now, they are more expensive with different colors and optics.
