how do they do that?!?!?!
How do these people with the ranks of the month get all those corals in there tank with out warfare? It looks amazing everytime I see one it blows my mind. Everything I read tells me most coral need so much room between eachother or they will fight. So how does the s**t not hit the fan in these tanks?

Beauty must be in the eye of the beholder. To me, they look overcrowded, crammed, artificial, and i think they are disasters waiting to hap

monster, i think they normally frag if a piece of one coral gets close to another to keep them seperate.
locust did u mean black background or sandbed? i also dont like either. makes it look too dark. i do agree with locust that these tanks look un-natural sometimes though.. but when they do look natural, they are amazing. |

the sps corals seen in these tanks are typically pretty peaceful.

I agree with Fishamatank. SPS wage silent wars......basically just trying to outgrow each to get the lion's share of the light. LPS wage all-out war and tend to "eat" their opponents. I have had more than one SPS frag that was filling out nicely just to turn up bleach white over night (too close to an LPS)
