Evil Sponge
I have this stringy white/gray sponge growing on an Acan frag and believe it or not the sponge is killing the Acan, what should I do? I seem to remember some invert ate sponges...maybe some sort of urchin, anybody else know about that?

angelfish will eat sponges, but will eat ure acan once done with the sponge lol ure best bet is to lower nutritions and increase mechanical filteration to decrease food for the sponge. also, air bubbles kill sponges dead sponge can stink up and increase nutritions in ure water. |

how big is the sponge? if it's small I'd just expose it to air for a little bit and watch it die off. It'll take less than a minute out of the water.

yeah, i thought about the air thing too. I'll try that first and see if i can't scrape off what's left after a couple of minutes or so.
