Best Auto Top Off System
My LFS has an auto top off by Tunze for $225 and an ATO system by JBJ for $135.
Is the Tunze unit worth the price? |

Why not get a reefkeeper lite with an SL1 module and run your auto topoff that way. More for your money.

I had the JBJ, worked perfect other than it died the other day after 3 years. I bought mine from Marine Depot for 99 though

You left out the Spectrapure Litermeter Ultra-Precise ATO unit, which is a fantastic piece of equipment. The leveling system it uses is really nice, has it's own backup system. Since it uses air pressure to measure water level there are very few flaws/misreadings.
Not to mention, it can not back siphon and it can pump vertical like 30'. I think the actual pump comes with a lifetime warranty now, too. Your LFS may not carry it but it can be ordered online, same goes for the rest of them. I think the litermeter is even more expensive than the tunze. The question is, how expensive can an accident/failure with an ATO unit be? |

Autotopoff.com. Great, inexpensive ATO. Just need to supply your own pump and reservoir.

I agree with autotopoff.com, they also have pumps you can buy to use with there floats. And you can put together a kit for less than $100.
