MP10 ES vs MP10w ES
I currently have a single MP10 with the original driver. I have a 90 gallon tank, 3' x 2' x 2' and I would like to buy a second pump, and I would like them to sync to one another but I'm confused. I read the manual posted on the Ecotech website, and on page 14 of the manual it sounds like the manual says that ALL EcoSmart controllers will work one with another.
When you add additional VorTech pumps, any EcoSmart driver is capable of operating either as a master or a slave pump If this is the case, what does the MP10w ES do that the MP10 ES doesn't? If I have two pumps, does only one need to be wireless to get them to work in Harmony? Thanks, Erik |

Erik,
Both of them need to be wireless in order to communicate with each other. The only difference between the MP10wES and the MP10ES is that ability. You are also able to upgrade the MP10ES to an MP10wES by purchasing the wireless module from our parts store. Jeff

Just ordered and received a MP10wES. When I have the more moola, I'll upgrade the pump I've got. In the mean time, I plan to simply place them both on the back wall (Tank is set up as a peninsula tank) and run them both in Reef crest mode until I get the ES wireless upgrade. Any other creative ideas or suggestions for random flow until I get the 2nd wirelessES?
Cheers, Erik |

The W on the front of the driver will light up if you have an W model.
