MH flicker
I just received a MH fixture that I got from eBay. It's a 175w icecap ballast, wired to a light switch which connects to a spider refl. It came with a S.P.S ? brand bulb that the seller said was a year old. When I turn it on the bulb flickers. I asked the seller about it and they said it flickered for the first few minutes when they turned it on, but it went away. I left it on for 3 hrs today and it flickered the whole time. Is this possibly an old bulb issue or a ballast issue ?

Probably a bulb issue 1 year for mh is a long time.
