Macro algae in Display Tank?
What Macro Algaes, if any, could I put in my display tank, would the clean-up crew eat them, if at all, faster than the plant could grow, how quickly would it spread and could it be used for Nitrate Export. I know maiden's hair plant is commonly kept in display tanks, however it does not do much for nutrient export, any suggestions, thanks.

you would know if this could potentialy be a problem or not.
the problem i see with chato is that it will float into pumps, overflows, or smother organisms. you can prevent this by weighting it down, however that will stop the algae from twisting and rolling, which results in more dead spots than normaly associated with chaetomorpha. cheers.
