ASM G2 Help??!!!?

ive had a g2 body for a while now and i finally bought a sedra 3500 pump for it. the 3/4 pvc elbow that the pump came with does not fit that tightly on the skimmer does the original skimmer come with a washer for it to fit tighter or is it supposed to be like this?

any help would be great,

thanks.

Mine fits snug. Its not overly tight, but does not leak any water. Actually if im reaching in my sump and move the G2 around to much it will seperate.
