Need a small footprint high output skimmer!!

I have a really small space the length is cool its 15" the width is 8" so lets say 7 3/4" and the height can be 30" max. What would you get or better yet what can I get...anyone???? I have a $400 limit to spend I have credit with the LFS from my breakdown. All ideas welcome even if your peeing in the dark.

tunze 9011 has a really compact footprint and is rated up to 290 gal for a softies tank. Foot print would be about 5lx7wx18h

Unlikely. Quite a bit larger than the OP said they had room for.

I guess the first question is, what does your LFS have or what can they get? Obviously we also need to have an idea of your tank size and bioload or else recommendations without that information are pretty much worthless. Is it for the 90 you have in your sig?

Regardless of fish load, Tunze makes the most compact skimmers and have some very good reviews.

i like my 9002. i havent cleaned it in 10 months, but will next week, and it still keeps things pretty clean.

How deep is the water level where the sump will sit? I have the same issue, but my sump depth is 12 inches (Refugium). I have 10 x 18 and 12 inches deep, 29 inches cabinet space. Most of the best skimmers are off limits due to the 29 inche cabinet space and the 12 inche sump depth - raising a skimmer that is 25 to 28 inches tall, by 12 inches doesnt work well in a 29 inch cabinet height.

ASM makes a skimmer that can operate in 8 inches of water and AqauC makes a skimmer that can operate in 9 inches of water. Both will work in your skimmer b/c both have small footprints.

The skimmer that I have choosen was the Aqua C ev180, the one that I wanted was the SRO SSS 3000/bubbleblaster.

I have an ATB 840 v2, it would just fit in the dimensions, i keep mine in a 8x16 area with 9" of water and it has plenty of room to move around. They did recently come down in price but are still over what you want to spend.

Could not be happier with the performance, build quality or how quiet it is.

Same issue here. My sump compartment is too deep so I have to raise it up on a stand and that doesn't leave much height to work with underneath the stand.

The compartment for the skimmer has 10" of water so if any of these have the capabilities to work in this depth or lack there of I'm in like Flynn.

Its for a 90 gallon 75% sps acro, milli, stags, and other assorted stuff. I have a pretty heavy bio-load 9 fish. So I want the biggest I can fit again the 9011 will not fit the with is exactly 8".

My bad the tunze seem to be only 4.5 inches wide so no problem. SO far this is what I will get but the 9015 seems like a better buy for the future anyway and for now.
