green star polyps help

have a 125g semi reef with PC 384 watts but my green star polyps are not growing beeen in tank about 6 months everyone say they grow fast still waiting to see, help anyone

See if there are and nudibranchs around it, my frag of it had one and it kept my frag to only three polyps. After I removed it, they went nuts and I had over forty polyps in about three weeks.

Once you get it figured out you'll be asking how to get rid of them. I love green star polyps, but they do "grow on you" if you know what I mean.

Check your water parameters against the growth requirements of the coral, see if your lacking anywhere.

make sure they have sufficient flow also. my buddie gave me a large chunk of his gsp and his continued to grow where mine didnt. then i gave it more flow and it's doing good now.

Do you have it on a rock or sitting in the sand? If on a rock, has it attached?

Mine grows like crazy as well. It likes really high flow.

I hate that stuff! Had to change out 75#'s of rock to get rid of it
