The question is, can you get the fuge underneath? I had to empty my 72 BF to get the home made refug in it from the top. It was a PITA!

the fuge is only a 5 gallon tank so that is no problem. it is underneath right now. the only problem i am going to have is getting the frag tank underneath. but what we paln to do is silicone the panels while it is in the tank stand. so it is already in the tank stand. but after it is all build there is no way we are going to be able to take the frag tank out

my algae tub is that sort of a deal..i just intercepted the main DT overflow return and plumbed a big overflow hole into the side of a little storage tub (no overflow box, just the bulkhead fitting and a hose) which then continues to the sump

it is on a taller stand next to the main tank stand

the tub is like 6" deep and maybe 20"x15" or so and gets 24/7 light. i just select one or two rocks to scrub when i do WC's, for further nutrient removal.

One problem I see is that heat from the lighting on your frag tank is going to have to be removed by a fan or it will heat your DT.
