Alternative backdrop options

I know painting the back of a tank is a common way to apply a backdrop.

But what are the alternatives to painting so that the backdrop isn't permanent?

Thanks everyone!

You could go to your local petsshop and buy some black or blue background paper that you just tape to the side...I hate painted backgrounds tanks!

I velcroed a sheet of black plexi-glass to the back of my tank.

get a black or blue background from the petstore and then put it on the back of the tank with vasaline. it makes it look painted, but it's not permanent. make sure you get all the air bubbles out with a flat edge like a book or something otherwise it'll look like crap

How does the vaseline make it stick? That seems odd to me. But if it works i guess it might be a good option.

How's you do that? It seems like the velcro would have to be between the plexi-glass and the back of the tank and wouldn't that make it look odd? Is that what you did?

That's a good option. Does it look like it's painted? I wonder if it will look good.
