What do you think of this Top-Off?

Ive been looking on marine depot for an auto top off and was looking to go with the JBJ, but it has a lot of negative reviews, and for $100 it does not seem so pro. Then I found this site AutoTopoff.com i like that its pretty small, seems to be well built, seems a good value, and I think its pro. What do you guys think? Keep in mine I have barely any room in my sump.

Many people use them here and have never had a problem. I went with the Tunze Osmolator myself.

I use the autotopoff.com dual float model and have no issues. I did have a chattering relay. After an email to them, they suggested I move the float switch away from the return pump (It was right on top of it), chattering stopped. Been running it for about 6 months now. I would buy it again. I use an Aqualifter for the pump.

The cheapest I found the Tunze was Bulk Reef Supply at $ 195.00. If you go with Tunze, you won't be disappointed.....

As great as the Tunze is, I paid about $80 including the aqualifter from autotopoff.com.

I have the tunze also, price aside, it went from the box to the tank working in 5 minutes. I love simplicity in this hobby. Not saying anything against any other models, as this is the first and only one I've used. Sorry if that wasn't an answer to your question...

I'm not disputing the Auto-Topoff is a great unit, and performs well. I was simply allowing where I found the cheapest price for the Tunze. The non-wearing optical sensor and translator is what sold me. I also see now that Marine Depot has them on sale for $190.00.

Mista and joe, i love you insight, you are right on target. I need an auto top off and want to know what my best options are. So far I figure the osmolator is the best, but the price of the autotopoff unit is pretty apealing. Plus no one has a bad review about either on any of my forums. THanks again for taking the time to help me out guys!!!!
