Not sure haven't heard of a super Sol Blue as of yet. They have 3x diffent bulbs in them. Royal Blue, Standard Blue and the White. Each puck has 1 white, 1 Royal, 1 Blue. The color produced at 100% white and 100% blue gives the tank a light blue look. I currently have them set to 50% white and 40% blue. They are soooooo powerful that everything was starting to hide. I know that my light has only been out for about 2 - 3 weeks and i got one of the first orders. Low # on the modules.

I will be posting a tech breakdown on the setup of the lights some time this weekend. Ill show off cabbles, settings and the fixtures. That should help clear up the questions about the lighting. Oh and thanks for liking my silly tank hehe.

I love the tank. Looks nice and those lights are better than sweet! I can't wait. Mine ship out today. I am looking forward to the tutorial about setup and programming. I am sure I speak for all when I say thanks for the posts.

Is it just me, or is that tank too small for that angel?

Thats not an Angel thats Godzilla! Seriously though, ya he s probably better off in a 200gal vs a 90 gal. That tank looks great; I have the same tank and I am hanging my modules length wise and using height to make sure I have full coverage.

Yeah it’s in a 90g; I raised him from the size of something slightly smaller than a half dollar. He is a 4 year old fish now. I was planning on getting him into a 175g I had last year but the people that control the building I live in said no way (I’m on the 3ed floor). He would be much happier in a large tank but I doubt if I gave him to someone they would give him the food it needs. He does ok eating the Briarium in my tank mixed with clams from the grocery store.

Sigh believe me if something presented its self I would let him go. No more on the fish please. I am posting this to show people the LIGHTS... Really I understand and I agree the fish needs a bigger home. You have to understand that fish is like my dog or cat. It’s a family member and as soon as possible he will get a bigger home.

I have them turned down to 50%w and 30%b I also have glass tops so that helps chop the light down.

I just wanted to let you guys know how powerful these lights are. I had to turn them down today. Stuff was not so happy, so I went down to 30%white and 20%blue. I am going to be raising the lights about 7" off the tank as well ASAP. ALOT of power be careful and start LOW. I wouldn't start above 30% if I had it to do over again...

Well the inverts in my tank got mad at me over the last 2 days. I called AI and they were more than happy to help me. Great support btw! Joe with AI and I both came to the conclusion that I need the lights higher up off the tank and turned down. 90g with 4x was a bit over kill I think lol. Can you post a shot of your tank for me Larry?
Thanks, Phil |

Nice vid.
Question - since the clock goes off after power outage.......programming resumes where it left off (i.e. power out for 20 minutes - clock is 20 off & light cycle functions as programmed)? (sorry if I missed this somewhere in the thread ![]()

The controller is a USB drive with a screen. It saved all the setting I just wasn't sure if the time was correct lol. Sorry about the mix up. Just like a usb drive it stores all of the last settings that were saved. However it will default to Manual control rather than auto in the event of power loss. Clock keeps time even with no power. Under manual control mode the lights turn on and off at set time. No sunrise or sunset, no luner cycle. So after a power outage it will have to be reset to auto.

2,516.00 USD is a bit high. Check out Reefgeek they have much better pricing. Never the less I got 4 units so that I did not have to raise the light 2+ feet off the tank to get a good spread. I sold the wife by our electric bill going down 80$/month and no bulb replacement. HAHA that and alot of begging....

I raised the lights about 7" off the water now. Much better almost like a need. AI really needs to add taller legs out right. Ill post a pic or something soon of the new height.
