Finally!!!!....My completed custom 120G Cube (video)

So after a year in the making, my tank is finally up and running and doing very well. Its been up for about 2 months now and i am getting pretty good coral growth and fishes seem happier now than in my old tank.

So here is a break down of the tank

Tank: 120 gallon cube, 30x30x31

Thank Drain: corner overflow-full siphon with emergency drain, dry run for wires and return

Sump: custom built by myself. Its very odd shaped but basically consists of drain section, skimmer section (reef octo ext 160), return section (eheim 1262, stealth heater, 2 lil fishies reactor and ato H2O pres. sensor) 10 gallon fuge and a 9 gallon fresh water res.

Control: Reef Keeper LT with 3 pc-4s, 12v wall wart controlling 2 120mm fans (for cabinet cooling)

Lighting: 400w radium metal halide, lumen bright pendant w coralvue elec. ballast

Hope you enjoy.

Eric

Hi Eric, want to build a custom as well........where do you get your frame? Pre-made frame or not? What is your glass thickness?

Thanks

Mudskipper and Ritten- Thanks!

L8ndeb- actually the display tank is the only part of this setup i did not personally make, my LFS did. But i can tell you that it is 1/2 inch thick glass and the rims are pieces of (im assumig) Aquarium rim stock cut to length and joined together via 45s at the end. I did the drilling and assembling of the overflow.

The sump however, i did make. Its 3/8 inch glass and rimless. Then again its only 15 inches tall and has a lot of additional support structure from the multiple chambers.
Hope this helps.

Eric

May I asked what you paid for the tank? BTW, your setup looks really good. Clean and neat. I would like to see it in a year.

Thanks L8ndeb,
I paid about 460 for the tank which included 4 hole drilled for a center overflow that I later patched up and redrilled it for a corner overflow.

I noticed something that seems to be camouflaging your overflow. What is that made of?

Aquaph8, I will try to put some up. I have a few hundred pics of the project from start to finish. Is there anything specific you would like to see?

Mavrk, it is an agro-crete wall that I formed around the overflow.

Thanks Saleen.

Sorry Mavrk, I just realized I didn't really answer your question. Its a combo of different grains of agronite with cement and an eggcrate frame to give the wall strenght
