can you help identify these creatures?
Can anyone help identify the two creatures in the attached photos.
the first is a trail of eggs (?) that periodically shows up in my 125 reef tank. the trail of eggs is 5-6 inches long. The second is some anemone-like creature that has appeared in the past few months - there are several cropping up in various places around the tank. the anemone-like objects are about 3/8 inch in diameter, the body is red-orange in color, and the tentacles are a translucent, opal color. thanks very much for your help. |

The first picture is verity snail eggs. The second one is hard for me to tell. Based on the description, it could be a majano anemone (not good if it is). You'll have to nuke it.

the first one is snail eggs. The second picture is a ball anemone, sometimes called ball anemone, or corynactis anemone.
