Phosphate problem?

Have read up on some solutios to get rid of phosphates?
Dipping in acid would do the trick.
Anybody knows about dipping in vinegar would do?

Have you looked into dosing vodka, I read that over time that will help keep it down, but its pretty advanced stuff and you must do you research first. You could also buy a two little fishes phosban reactor for about 30 bucks or so.

I'm curious, what exactly would you be dipping in acid or vinegar in order to bring down phosphates? Most people use a reactor or even a mesh bag, filled with something like Phos-Guard or Phos-Ban or something else along those lines.

Agreed. Running GFO, either in a reactor, or simply in a mesh bag in the sump or HOB filter will help to reduce phosphates. Another option is to grow some macroalgae to help export the excess nutrients.

What is your mintenence routine? What are your water parameters right now?
