Unfertilized Cleaner Shrimp Eggs - What will happen?

I have one cleaner shrimp that is holding a bunch of eggs on his/her belly. There isn't another shrimp to fertilize the eggs. What will happen to the eggs?

the eggs will become fish food, nothing to worry about.

I've read that the shrimp will release the eggs in two weeks. Will this still happen if they're not fertilized? I'd love to see her release them.

The peppermint released about two weeks ago. LOL They do it at night. The whole tank will looked as if someone dumped a bottle of marine snow in it. Which is why I jumped up and ran to the tank wondering WHAT is that in my water. I could see the babies swimming when I grabbed a drinking glass and dunked it into the tank to get a closer look.

I know tiny baby fresh water ghost shrimps molts. Perhaps the same with marine?

I'm wondering if Marine Shrimps can/do store sperm packets? Because I only have 2 female peppermints. Maybe they were taggedbefore I bought them? LOL

hmm good question.
I wonder if I have male or females or both? or do they change sexes if they need too?
all I know is the shell I saw floating around my tank was a tiny replica of either my fireshrimp or my cleaners however I have not seen eggs in my fireshimp yet so it must be the cleaners.

I believe cleaner shrimp (including fire and peppermints) are protandric simultaneous hermaphrodites, meaning they are born male, but also develop female organs as they mature while retaining the male organs, unlike some other types of hermaphroditic fish (like clown fish.) Therefore, any two adult cleaner shrimp should be able to mate and I guess they could both carry and fertilize eggs since each has both male and female reproductive organs.

Bingo!

Any two adult shrimp (of the same kind) can fertilize each others eggs.

I have two cleaner shrimps and both release fertilized eggs. I caught a baby shrimp once late at night. Usually happens about 2 weeks and about 2-3 hours after lights out Unfortunately they are nothing more than good fish and coral food.
