Hammer looking very unhappy...help!

Our pink hammer (one head) just as of today is deflated on one side and is the least open I've ever seen it. The green hammer we have (4 heads) is fully open and looking great. We recently changed our lighting schedule to fit our schedule better. Could this be causing any issue with it? Or could it be something else?

Parameters:

Salinity: 1.026
pH: 8.2-8.4
ammonia, nitrite: 0
nitrate: <20

nitrate might be high, you will want a more accurate test, for LPS you are going to want to monitor alk and ca at the minimum mg is another thing you would want to monitor if possible.

My green hammer has done this 2 or 3 times over the past 8 months or so, but it only lasts a day or two and then after that it goes right back to normal

Mine deflates from time to time as well. It does what it wants when it wants sometimes and usually returns to normal within a day or two.

cool. it's good to hear it's kinda normal occurance. i think the main cause has been the hot and humid weather we've gotten recently. It's about 90 today. The tank is about 85 degrees right now. were working the best we can to cool it

Jesus that warm. Put a fan across the water. If thats not possible, it's chiller time. You're way up there man. Need to lose at least 4 degrees.... and that's not an easy thing to do at all...

Im sure its not 90deg now...but in the future you can freeze a few tupperware containers of RO/DI and add frozen blocks to your sump to help bring down temp or even float a few bags near overflow (Dont add ice directly to DT). This worked for me when my central A/C went out this summer and my indoor temp got to 90 degrees during the afternoon....I was able to keep tank at 80.

Everything made it through fine in the end. The fan actually works well, too well. it has to be monitored closely, it dropped below 76 the other day (not sure how it eluded the heater exactly), but it's cooled off now so it's been ok. The pump actually puts off alot of heat. When we kill the flow to feed, the tank cools down in that ~30 mins. These small tanks are so sensitive!

We actually did do that and it worked wonders!
